Mechanical Field Service Technician

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for the effective service and maintenance of AZ Escopod units. Acting as the first point of contact for the customer you must have excellent communication skills and be self-motivated with a strong eye for detail.


  • We are looking for candidates who have a background within the mechanical or energy industry- (Building services or Heat Pump projects in particular) and who have, as a minimum, a mechanical craft qualification.

    In addition to the points listed above, our ideal candidate will:

  • Experience of an in-field service role
  • Knowledge of rotating equipment
  • Excellent problem-solving ability
  • Strong Health & Safety Awareness
  • Relevant engineering technician certificate.
  • Desirable:

  • Troubleshoot and repair failures on mechanical, electrical, and electronic control equipment. Schedule and perform preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Experience in installation and repair of water pumps, valves, heat exchangers and heat pumps an advantage.
  • Deliver on time response to our customer base
  • Maintain accurate and up to date maintenance records. Work proactively to ensure performance targets are met
  • Assist on installation and feasibility study projects
  • Pipe welding/Plumbing experience
  • Diagnose problems using electrical drawings
  • Travel to sites in Ireland and UK
  • Ability to work across multiple utilities like, water, steam, gas and refrigeration
  • Good working knowledge of three phase electrics
  • Have a working knowledge of control panels
