UK Technical Sales Manager 


ActionZero, an exciting, innovative and dynamic climate action solutions business, is now seeking to fill the post of UK technical sales manager. We are searching for a manager who will help us to build our business in the UK. We want a self-motivated and experienced candidate, with an in-depth knowledge of the UK market who will lead technical sales activities for ActionZero in the UK.  You will be responsible for delivering the ActionZero sales & marketing goals in the UK - and helping to position the brand for long-term success.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • The UK Technical Sales Manager will manage all technical sales activity
  • Work closely with the senior leadership team on the development of the business roll out in the UK, creating targeted sales & marketing strategies to key market verticals in the meat, food & drink processing, pharma, healthcare, hospitality and enterprise sectors.
  • Lead the delivery of sales targets for the UK market
  • Support the establishment and management of sales partner channel model with appropriate channel partners
  • Own and drive the sales process to develop and deliver new business meeting business sales targets for the country
  • Establish, own and manage customer relationships with customers in key target verticals
  • Lead cross functional projects & teams to build business cases, set strategies and define requirements and timelines
  • Develop proposal and bid documentation
  • Drive lead generation for the UK market with support from the marketing team
  • Manage and update all relevant lead and deal data in the CRM for the UK geo
  • Identify, establish and manage partnerships with relevant trade and industry associations to build out the AZ network in UK
  • Drive, measure and report on all key metrics
  • Identify and establish partnerships with local and national businesses to support AZ objectives
  • Manage contractors, agencies, and specialists to assist in building the UK brand
  • Frequent reporting into the CEO and CCO
  • Requirements:

  • Proven track record and strong business acumen; in technical sales, marketing & business development, establishing partnerships and stakeholder relationships, preferably in the energy or other engineering related industry
  • Ideally a UK resident with a good understanding of local business culture
  • Skilled in marketing, business development, sales & customer care
  • Ideally with a background in technical engineering as well as business management
  • Highly networked in target market verticals including meat, food, healthcare, pharma/biopharma and manufacturing sectors
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and develop relationships achieving results through people
  • A strong problem solver with the ability to provide practical solutions
